Pia Grimbühler

Having grown up around jewellery and luxury still life photography, Pia Grimbühler took her love for beautiful imagery and emigrated to Italy in 1998 with an art photography diploma. As part of her beautiful yet not-always-Dolce-Vita life there, she worked as a freelance photographer for 5 years and found her way to food photography.

Upon her return to Switzerland, Pia Grimbühler studied media economics and media management at the School of Design in Bern. Armed with additional skills, she launched her own photo studio in Zurich Binz, which she has been running for over 10 years now. She lends her photography skills to well-known customers, food magazines, books and advertising. She is known for her willingness to experiment and innovate, love for prop and food styling, and experience in heading up entire photo and film productions. For several years now, Pia Grimbühler has been training in the production of moving images.
